KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The price of gold has experienced a significant drop in the domestic market, decreasing by Rs 1,200 per tola on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, fine gold is being traded at Rs 118,200 per tola, down from Rs 119,400 per tola on Tuesday. Similarly, standard gold is being sold at Rs 117,650 per tola today, compared to Rs 118,850 per tola yesterday.
In addition to the drop in gold prices, the price of silver has also seen a decrease of Rs 15 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs 1,415 per tola on Tuesday, is being sold at Rs 1,400 per tola today.
This drop in precious metal prices may be indicative of larger market trends, potentially influenced by factors such as international market fluctuations, demand and supply dynamics, and economic conditions.
