Gold Price Hike by Bajus
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) increased the price of gold by Tk984 per bhori on 19 May, leading to a price hike in the local bullion market.
The revised rates now set 22-carat gold at Tk1,19,544 per bhori, up from Tk1,18,460 previously.
Additionally, the prices for 21-carat gold stands at Tk1,14,109 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk97,803 per bhori, and traditional method gold at Tk80,867 per bhori.
The new rates will come into effect starting Monday, 20 May.
This marks the 6th price increase by Bajus in May.
